WCRC Carnforth Open Day

Photo's from the first event at the former Steamtown for 10 years to celebrate 40 years since the end of steam. Had a great selection of loco's on view, especially the scrappers, most of which haven't been seen/ heard of since they arrived at Carnforth.
37676 was named Loch Rannoch
47786 is due to be re-united with its Roy Castle OBE name, a name it carried as an EWS loco.

40145 gained a headboard during the day, so here it is	46115 'Scots Guardsman' sparkles in a freshly applied coat of BR brunswick green	46115, 5690 and 48151 outside the BR shed	47236, whats the pont in keeping a loco like this, its never going to run again and im sure Messers Booth and Hall would pay a handsome sum for it.
